Mr Fish - Yuma

They have great fish tacos using cod. Several fish and seafood dishes to choose from. It's a small cosy place with indoor and outdoor seating. Food is made to order so there is a wait time which is longer in the winter but worth it. It can get very crowded in the winter with close seating.

The fish and shrimp have always been REALLY good, but the last time I ordered, it just wasn't as good as normal. It made me wonder if ownership had changed hands. I tried something different and ordered fish tacos. Who uses corn tortillas?? They would be much better with flour tortillas, in my opinion. It would at least be nice if they offered us a choice. The fish inside the fish tacos is not the same fish as they use in the fish dinner. It is rubbery in texture and doesn't flake apart. Next, the PRICE. Too high. Two fish shrimp dinners and two drinks will come close to $40. That's a lot for a place where you order at the counter and get your own drink. Lastly, the coleslaw has apples in it. Just a matter of preference I guess, but I didn't like it. I'd give it between 3 and 4 stars

The food was great!! My husband got the fish and shrimp, it was lightly breaded and fried to perfection. I got 3 tacos:shrimp fish tacos were my fav.

1. The staff seemed bothered by questions since I did not want help as soon as I walked in the door since I had never been here before. 2. They charge $1.95 for a side of coleslaw smaller than one of those ice creams with a wooden spoon, but thankfully I was able to sub chips on the second order with an extra slaw. OH, and not sure if thankfully is correct, as two of the three slaws had GONE OFF! 3. As someone from the UK, all I can imagine is since the average age of the customers seems to be 85yo, that to them the food is worth five stars. ALL OF IT WAS AWFUL AND GREASY!!!! Gave my fur babies and myself diarrhoea almost instantly! So, double thanks for that!! Save you money, go to the store and purchase frozen pre-battered fish as it would have been better, and heavens knows cheaper!

Awesome people. Very clean. Makes me think of home on the coast of Oregon.
