The pizza crust was very hard, dry and half burned.; It contained only 3 shrimps, 3 vongole, 1 piece of octopus and 2 calamari rings. The good thing about this place is that it provides unlimited free salad from the salad bar and that's what helped me feel full, which i don't usually eat much.
Got a take away octopus salad for €10.50, tasted good but portion was not even for a side salad.
DON’T GO OR PREPARED TO BE THREATENED/SCAMMED. We were recommended here by our hotel and arrived at 8pm on a Tuesday night. Everything seemed normal until we tried to pay and they told us they don’t have a card machine. We weren’t told that when we were seated nor during the whole hour when we were waiting for our food to come. I then tried to go to a nearby HSBC atm but the machines couldn’t connect to my bank. When I tried to speak to a man who looked like he’s the owner of the restaurant just outside having a smoke to offer to do an online transfer of the amount or to have them come with me to another atm, he and his partner made unfunny jokes about making us do the dishes or that they could offer to take €50 for our €35 meal. I quote his partner “well we gotta make some money off you right?” I then went bank into the restaurant to tell my partner about their rude behaviour and that’s when the man came back inside and led me upstairs to another hotel who were able to take my card. During the process a blonde waitress who was polite when she first served us did a 180’ in her attitude when my partner pointed out that there’s no signs anywhere that says it’s cash only, she responded with “there are no signs that says we take card!” This restaurant was priced above average along the promenade so defo should’ve been equipped with one. This was so unnecessary and we would’ve left a tip if they were not so rude and unhelpful.
The restorant was quite filthy especially the sofa. The menu is split poorly and it has the kids corner on the front page, which for me is a flaw since it gives the feel that the restorant is trying to appeal to everyone from the start. The food was either dry or oily and it took ages to be served. I ordered the crispy chicken fillet and they didn't give one item there was supposed to be in there, even the chips tasted better than the burger! The pizzas were dry and plain. I won't recommend eating there.
This place was superb. The chef came over and offered to make spaghetti carbonara for the kids, and they loved it. I had the Maltese platter which was just exquisite! I can't recommend it highly enough. My wife had some octupus salad which was good too. The staff were really nice and attentive, and the place was nice to be in, with agreeable decor and comfy chairs. The price was excellent, we were five people and we only paid 50 euros for everything, drinks included!
