Taqueria Alba - Zacatlán

I recently went there, Tacos are great size, taste and price. The best is everything! Close to downtown, staff is friendly and tacos are delicious. 5 stars for this cheap food place

We've eaten there three times in two days. They are open 7 am to 2 pm. They have two main categories of fillings for the Tacos and Tortas. Beef slowly boiled with steam (al steam) and pork on the vertical spear (al pastor). Beef comes as a mixote and barbacoa. It's just excellent. The meat is marinated either in a Chile-based adobo (not hot, only tasteful) or largely un seasoned for salt. The flesh is silky and delicate. The al pastor is good, but lacks the Chile marinade used in Mexico City and it also comes without the bits of pineapple. That said it is very good and you can get it either diceed or in strips (Rebanada); it is just a matter of texture. The tacos come with a plate of diceed cabbage and quarters of kernelless limes that are less acid. There were three table sauces when we were there: red Chile de árbol, green Serrano and a crushed (martajado) habanero salsa. The Habanero was the best, but he didn't have the bite of most Habaneros. I would have said it was Cuaresmeño, the more mature Jalapeño type of Chile. The tacos were very cost-effective 7 pesos per taco. The bathrooms are acceptable. These are excellent tacos. They said they went through 125 kilos of tortillas per shift!

Best taquería ever!!! As a Mexican, I was surprised that I never tasted something like that when you are sure you try the following Tacos: Pastor, Barbacoa, Mixiote; and also the traditional Chalupas.

Local sencillo pero con tacos deliciosos, servicio muy eficiente y económico . Hay tacos de pancita de res, sesos, mixiote, barbacoa y pastor ( diferente a los de otros lugares), los acompañan con diversas salsas y puedes agregar col picada. Son sencillos pero súper ricos y están abiertos desde las 8am y cierran de madrugada. Están en pleno centro.

Nada del otro mundo, pero hacen muy bien lo que tienen que hacer: poca variedad pero todos buenos. Y a buen precio. Una muy buena opción para comer en la zona.
