Quality food and drink is not always easy to find, but I recommend Tierra 44 when you visit Zacatlán de las Manzanas. Besides the season, they had frozen blueberries only in the case, so I was lucky to ask and accompany the meal with fresh blueberry juice. Everything has a gourmet touch, take the guacamole, for example, with a distinctive taste here. All on the menu is worth an order, and there are excellent poblano coffee and order something for dessert. I was offered the cheesecake of the day, and their selection of jams to beautify it. Stop it, Tierra 44!!
You don't expect to find a tapas square in a small town like Zacatlan, but that was definitely a great surprise. I ordered to share plates of cheese and cut meat, and they were served with recently roasted bread and a delicious plum Chutney. The cheeses were very good! We were put in our service so much attention to detail by the owner. I would definitely recommend if you were looking for a light snack before dinner or just some wine over tapas. Great discovery!
Before arriving to Zacatlán you should cross the “Piedras Encimadas” Park. Nice place, you can drive a horse, you can go, you can be guided or make it discover by yourself! But it's worth it. For people like the forests is a great place to visit! Then Zacatlán, everything is nearby, so park your car and go around the city, do it early, breakfast in one of their restaurants; I had it in “Los Adobes”, very good. Then visit Relojes Centenario, downtown, enjoy everything produced from apples and other local fruits, see the Android show at the Centenario watch factory museum, see the walls of the cemetery, enjoy the surroundings, you will be happy to visit Zacatlán.
Small place a block from the flower clock. Great service. Mom cooks and she knows her business. Amazing food. Great service (it is worth repeating). Unpredictable. Good selection of decent wines (not really fancy, but well chosen) and local drinks, including a real local craft beer (not the apple stuff they keep pushing anywhere else). Definitely worth a visit. Your Comida corrida is a steal!
El mejor mole que he probado, cerveza de 10. La musica no va a tono pero no pasa nada porque la comida esta excelente. Muy buen servicio. Si regreso.
