Merendero Los Pelambres - Zamora

On leaving the beautiful town of Zamora we discovered this great restaurants besides the river and opposite the old town. Fabulous location. Had the best mixed salad ever and pork fillets to share. The service from the young couple was exceptional. Friendly and very polite. These places are why we come to Spain and Portugal. They are not pretentious just fabulous. Cannot recommend enough you must go and experience yourself. Would highly recommend.

We ate at this merendero a couple of times. It was always busy in the evening with Spanish families and couples enjoying themselves. The food was consistently good both times. To avoid surprises make sure you order of the menu. I order a glass of white wine only to find out it was 8€ per glass (most other bars charge between 1 to 3€ per glass).

El lugar está en un entorno maravilloso, fuimos por sus vistas,pero nos sorprendió un menú variado y comida muy rica.

Un maravilloso sitio para comer. Ambiente local, sin más pretensiones que comer bien, pero sin tonterías

La chica que nos atendió fue súper amable y atenta pero sin agobiar. La comida muy muy rica, pedimos la ensalada de ventresca, sopas de ajo, cachopo de cecina (increíble) y pollo. Eso, más las bebidas, unos 40 euros. Todo buenísimo. Nos quedamos con ganas de postre pero no podíamos más. Las cantidades abundantes.
