Beautiful place with great and friendly staff, beautiful breakfast, great rooms and great total life, as it is super close to the beach

8 nights at the Lighthouse Guesthouse was a dream honeymoon. Originally, we were worried that our budget would not be enough for much of a honeymoon, and we were just hoping to find a place- any place- somewhere in Zanzibar. The Lighthouse Guesthouse exceeded our expectations by far. For $40 per night, we were given a simple, charming room with a large, comfortable bed... lovely breakfast every morning, including fresh mangoes, pineapples, and passion fruit, and there was always more... maybe crepes, maybe hashbrowns, maybe eggs and toast. The beach is 50 m away... a 2-minute walk at most. We quickly made friends with the friendly hotel staff who were always around... they helped us with everything from getting a Zanzibar SIM card to making off-menu items for us per special request. It really could not have been more perfect, or a better value.

Good service, good rooms. A little far from the center but highly recommended!

I spent a week here with the woman and the children. I can't praise it higher. From warm welcoming atmosphere to attentive and nurturing staff. No big resort, much more relaxed and chilled. 25 steps from the beach. This will be my preferred place in Nungwi, Zanzibar every time I come.
