This is my favorite new tapas bar in Zaragoza. Excellent seafood tapas, very fresh produce, very nice atmosphere. The waiters know their trade. Don't miss it!
You'll know you're at Hormiguero Azul when you see giant ant sculptures climbing outside the building walls. Inside, the decor evokes the Mediterranean with bright white and blue tiles. If you are looking for a change from the usual, (sometimes heavy) tapas- this is the place. What I like about this bar is that they cook only a few things, but they are done well. I love los mejillones a la cerveza (mussels with beer) and also the chipirones with a lemony-herb sauce drizzled over. There are razor clams and other fresh seafood choices sitting behind the glass case waiting to be cooked just for you. Nothing is pre-cooked or re-heated. While you are waiting, enjoy a cerveza, sparkling white, cava or some lighter reds- all go well with the seafood. The cooking area is minimal, the staff is friendly and the patrons are happy to be enjoying their seafood tapas, what more could you ask for?
A clean place, with good fish and seafood and a very good service. one of the best in the tube
We fell by chance and often on the right. quality is very good and the waiter's agreement is a wonder. It's small but it's worth a lot.
