We had a good evening at the cervo at night. good solid operation with set up young employees. the price/performance ratio e.g. for the Chesefondues was not satisfactory. unfortunately too expensive was served in the village below there is better fondues and the price we don't talk.
Even today our visit to the cervo was simply top! we love the location, eating and the great service.
You will find as many locals in this classic restaurant as tourists. Part of the boutique Hotel Cervo, the main appeal here is simplicity. Chef Seraina Lauber takes traditional Swiss recipes and reinvigorates them, using the freshest seasonal ingredients, many of which have been grown in the chalet's own vegetable garden, to create a perfect blend of old and new. Try the caramelized cheese from the village of Dallenwil, served on a beetroot and leaf salad with smoked pecans; then the black cod with white pine needles, elderflowers, and black rice; followed by meringues and pickled apricots and almonds with lavender cream, or an array of homemade ice creams and sorbets. Combine those scrumptious dishes with crisp, modern-rustic décor, breathtaking alpine scenery (especially from the modish terrace), and a reliable selection of fine local wines, and you will be guaranteed a meal to remember. Reservations are recommended.
The visit at cervo has been fully rewarded!Everything started at the professional service, and of course ended there. very professional, but not placed or spooky or lifted, no, very warm and relaxed. you felt really good! Eating was the bang! it started with the offered broth varieties and the added spreads and the salami; just great! The appetizers were very great! I would like to mention explicitly the black-back steak, never ate such a delicate and juicy black steak. and what was fascinated me more was my choice of the last 72 hours. how to conjure such a dense shape from such a simple piece of meat. Chapeau!Thank you for the great evening!
