El Perla Negra - ZIHUATANEJO

From the Cafe Olla to the chiliqueles the breakfast is fantastic! And the best Jamaica in town! The space is peaceful and the servers are attentive and friendly. It has become our breakfast go to.

We have eaten Abelardo’s food for more than 15 years. And he is one of the nicest restaurant owners in town. Consistently delicious, fresh seafood. Last night the Mahi-Mahi had 5 different choices of the preparation or sauce, as usual. The non-seafood dinners we have had have also been very good. One of our favorites. Highly recommended. His new location is in the same neighborhood as Lety’s and Salvadors.

Went there with 8 people and the food was spectacular !! we all had the fresh Fish with the exception of one who had grilled shrimp . The Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection and they offer a few of of the owners homemade sauces to accompany the fish . All excellent just ask and they will explain the choices .All food was very fresh !! salads and vegetable's alike . the owner is a super nice guy who also fishes in the off season so who better to prepare and select fresh fish !! Its a very small place about 6 or 7 tables Its right across from the Taxi stand as you walk towards to Kyoto circle By Calle Adellita !!

We have frequently dined at Abelardo 's restaurant for many years. He apparently was a fisherman in the past, and his fish is always fresh and delicious. He is also a very friendly and happy man. We always order one of his excellent salads. There are several choices for the fish fillet preparation and we usually choose one of them for our dinner. Occasionally we order the shrimp. There are several different shrimp preparations and they have also been excellent. This year he is in a new location in el centro, on a pedestrian street close to La Cancha (basketball court at the city beach). In Bar Barracruda and now known as El Perla Negra de Barracruda . He does all the food and they do the beverages. Nearly identical menu as last year. The prices remain a great value.

I really liked this place. Didn’t know it existed. Will definitely come back. Prices were great! I had an appetizer which had a stuffed squash. Never had that before, it was fantastic.
