Contribuisci feedbackMaria, the owner and chef, always makes us a nice meal when we visit. She, her family and staff are always so attentive and friendly. We feel like home here. It's a simple, family restaurant with great ambiance and delicious food.
Great spot. Friendly service and they gave us a complimentary portion of their lime pie. It was amazing and next time I'll order a full slice. Nice array of wine and cocktails. Bacon covered shrimp, grilled mahi mahi, fettuccine and the hamburger was good too. Everyone in our party loved the food. BBQ ribs fell off the bone like they should. Music was excellent as well. Played quite a few Johnny Cash songs. We will be back!
Delicious food, great service, beautiful setting. A breezy, laid back atmosphere to get coffee, drinks, or a meal. Highly recommend!
Let me start with the food was very good and very reasonably priced. We visited on a weekday morning. Definitely enjoyed the ambiance and our meal. Were we to rate on food I would have rated a 5. As we entered the restaurant, this delightful server was engaged with another table speaking both English and Spanish. I have no doubt that my rating would be a five if she had been our server. However, our server was stiff and aloof. I admit I do not know the customs of this area well this is my second visit but he seems both irritated in us enjoying a leisurely breakfast and disinterested in engaging with us. He did not offer more coffee or ask if we wanted another orange juice. We had to request. He did not make eye contact when on the other side of the room for us to gain his attention when needed. Honestly it is disappointing to write this because the other reviews indicate a place of pride and caring but our reception was exactly the opposite. And please, if you pay with cash, count your change. This server might have made an honest mistake or might have assumed we would not notice the difference.
I hate it when I am the dissenter with reviews but yeah, I just couldn 't get excited about this place like everyone else. First off, there was a guy there who was very loud and boisterous (apparently he calls himself the king black rooster which should tell you everything lol) and literally strutted around the restaurant drawing attention to himself. He would leave his phone on a desk in the restaurant, sit a regular table to eat, hear his phone ring LOUDLY then get up an announce to everyone that his phone was ringing again and announce how popular he was. It was an odd experience to say the least. Anyway, our server was unfriendly and barely said two words to us even though we tried talking to her. Food was ok, nothing special really. The restaurant was open with little air moving so it was a little warm but not a big deal for us...just know that if you like cooler temps to eat in, this isn 't your place. I dunno, we might give it another try.
