There are several young boys standing around doing nothing while people are waiting for service The highlight of the place is the wonderful music from Juanito and his group (love the drummer), but even that has changed from Mexican music to loud rock and roll Will be looking for another more traditional pozole restaurant 2/17/23 3* La Casa Que Canta restaurant Since Covid, the place has lost part of its charm While there is a token Mexican presence, the restaurant caters to tourists The table side demonstration of homemade chile may be a novelty to foreigners, but not to natives and certainly not as good Overall, the food was bland. The tuna was really not fit to eat The service was okay, but the waiter was pushy in trying to get us to order Nice wines by the glass Tasty desserts. Probably will not come back
This Restaurant works only on Thursdays. In Guerrero State is a local tradition to have late lunch in a pozoleria , typically they serve green pozole corn and pork soup) with sides of fried tacos, chiles fried and filled with meat. To drink normally serve mezcal and beer. What called my attention on this pozoleria is at 2:30 pm it was already full with waiting line. Customer were mainly international visitors from Canada and USA enjoying live music and the experience
Everyone should go here at least once to experience Thursday Pozole at Santa Prisca. It is more than food it's a lively and fun experience with great music and excellent food. We had no idea what to expect, and we're so glad we went!
So delicious! Red pozole is really great & so is green & you get appetizers! I should have gone with small as I couldn't finish medium ( not a big eater)
