Birklstüberl - Zirl

One of the absolute best traditional Tirolean meals I've ever had. I have been traveling to the region for 15 years and not eaten better. I had the venison filet with mushroom sauce, red cabbage, and spaetzele. All tasty and the meat was tender. The least expensive wine on the list was an excellent accompaniment. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. We had been travelling and this place was ideal as the staff made us very welcome. The prawn salad starter was very fresh and tasty and the veal first class A lovely evening in a cosy setting

Lovely place, with lots of gemütlichkeit, can be reached by car or, as a shortcut, through a pedestrian subway. Visited the restaurant two times, each time a very satisfying experience. The home made food is excellent in taste and well presented. For those who seek original Tyrol food this is the place to eat. Went there again with friends, because we were sooo flashed by our first visit.

We've been visiting this restaurant since 2011 and have probably eaten there about 20 times and therefore probably spent about €3,000. We were not greeted in a friendly fashion, it took over an hour before anybody even bothered to ask if we wanted a drink and that took about 15 minutes to bring. The next table of local people came in 50 minutes after us, and got their drinks before us. They also were served their food first. When they took our order for food, I asked for my usual favourite which was on the menu, only to be told it wasn't on. Although the food is very good, the service and attitude is inappropriate. Sadly we will never return. We don't appreciate racism and diabolical service.

This restaurant was only a two min walk away from our apartment. The food was delicious and the service was extremely friendly.
