Aklin - Zug

Excellent food, extremely attentive and courteous service (Thomas) and a great wine list everything went perfectly!

I haven't experienced such noise in a restaurant for a long time. It felt like we were in a train station buffet or a beer bar. At our birthday dinner we barely understood each other's words at times because 5 German/English-speaking men said they were alone in the restaurant and were behaving so shamefully. It's a shame, a shame, because the ambience and the Christmas decorations were very inviting, the food was very good and the service (a younger lady) was also very friendly. It is incomprehensible that the management or boss of the house was not able to point out their behavior to these apparently regular guests. Because you can also expect decency from regular guests. According to our very pleasant service, many guests commented negatively, but apparently those in charge didn't care. It's a shame, because the prices aren't exactly cheap. We used to be there often, but haven't been there for a while now, and probably not again so quickly. I'm starting to get the feeling that Zug's gastronomy in general is now only concentrating on expats, who leave as much money as possible and don't value the food culture. Unfortunately, I have already experienced something similar in other Zug restaurants. Nevertheless, thank you for the fine food and friendly service. And a nod to the host, who should not only ensure that as many bottles of wine and digestifs as possible are sold, but that all guests feel comfortable. Andre Bühler

The restaurant is unrealistically beautiful, the food corresponds to the place.

Kurz vor Weihnachten vor dem 2. Lockdown: Wir waren zu 4. Im Restaurant und es war leider sehr enttäuschend. Nach der Frage wie das Essen war, haben wir ehrlich geantwortet: Trüffel waren im Menü nicht frisch und das Leitungswasser zu teuer abgerechnet. Als wir dieses Feedback gegeben hatten, hat uns der Wirt Bargeld auf den Tisch geknallt und uns sehr schräg angesprochen... Wir hatten noch nicht mal bezahlt... Auch die Erklärung, dass wir einfach ein ehrliches Feedback geben wollten und dass wir ja sehr grosszügig konsumiert haben, hat den Wirt nicht aus seiner Trotzreaktion gebracht. Nicht mein Fall. Weder Preis Leistung, noch Professionalität. Schade.

Ich besuchte gestern Samstag Aben mit meiner Kollegin wiedermal das Aklin in Zug, wie immer war die Vorfreude auf den Abend gross.Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und da es en wunderbarer Sommerabend war entschieden wir uns draussen zu Essen, darauf erhielten wir einen schön gedekten Tisch.Alles war Top von der Bedienung über das Leckere Essen bis zum Ambiente.Ich gehe immer wieder gerne ins Aklin.
