Altes Brauhaus - Zwingenberg

Very cozy atmosphere in an old but beautiful and with beautiful renovated building. friendly and thoughtful staff. the menu: not too many items (but still plentiful) so that they can rely on that everything they order, fresh and prepared for them had carving with "green sauce" (green sose, goethes char with cooked bark,) my wife had the last serving goulasch - day menu. both was very delicious. locally brewed beer, local wee and, surprise!, also wee of us absolutely more preferred winzer from the pfalz (Aloisiushof,St. martin.) always when I am in the opposite, I stop there and eat at lunch or at night.

While the great fusion movement satisfies the fantasy of many Prim-Essers, one wants to occasionally get a good taste and uncompromising taste. the latter is actually satisfied by the traditional hessian cuisine - and why! the old brewhouse has been converted from a taverne to a real restaurant since my last stay (2011) and probably for better. the first night was difficult because everything I had hoped was on the menu. what to choose? what to choose? when a sponge-shaxe comes on her table, they look at her and think they will never finish her. perhaps an hour later - and with the help of a lot of local white wine - you look at an empty dish and enjoy the last rest of this heavenly crispy skin. also away. sose? clean wiped. a schnapps to the close and I was very happy to whistle into the cool ones of the night. the next visit I had carving in wild mushroom sauce from the region with late tent. is there a better hearty to eat in oktober? the service personnel is young and energetic and if their bad tourist German collapses, they can easily sort them out. the prices were an absolute bargain in view of the large portions. As the name already says, this restaurant is located in an old brewery. the inner consists of dark beams and tables, which are placed in two spaces to both sides of the beginning. there is also an outdoor garden, where drinks and meals are served. it is a busy place, especially at the weekends. the menu offers a limited selection of dishes served in generous portions. uncomplicated German kitchen without being imaginative or modern. good eating in a pleasant atmosphere.
