I had the zenzai affogato with shiratama and tofu ice cream with a coffee set. The tofu ice cream is refreshing and has a subtle sweetness. I also purchased some delicious looking baked goods displayed in the showcase. The staff recommended their new creation, the "Yame tea sandwich," which was a luxurious treat with a rich and balanced bitterness from the Yame tea chocolate. The cafe is known for using natural, organic, locally sourced vegetables, rice, and ingredients, making it not only good for the body but also for the soul. There is a Buddhist altar room called "Koryu'in" at the back, and I was kindly shown around before leaving. I look forward to trying their lunch menu next time. *SoftBank users may experience a lack of signal on the way to the cafe, but the staff will provide the WiFi password once inside.
Cafe in an old village deep in the mountains of Kikuchi. You can find it using Google Maps. The interior combines Japanese, Western, and Buddhist elements for a calming atmosphere. The plant-based burger was satisfying and delicious! It's a great place to relax and they also sell cakes and cookies.
Located a little off the beaten path from Kikuchi Shrine, this small café sits along a clear stream in the mountains. The creative dishes made with organic ingredients bring out the natural flavors in a warming way. By participating in the monthly sutra copying sessions, you can also receive a discount on your meal. Spending the weekend here, away from the hustle and bustle, and relaxing on the terrace under the sun's gentle light is highly recommended. ´・ω・`)b
お寺というより古民家風で、精進料理が中心の身体に優しい料理です。 車麩の揚物が美味しかったです。
