よっか Táng - 和水町

This is a small restaurant run by a husband and wife. The hormone stew is excellent!! It has a perfect texture and a strong garlic flavor. Everything is very filling at a reasonable price. The champon noodles are light and easy to eat. If you bring your own pot, they will put the hormone stew in it for you.

The set meals were cheap and hearty. Among the various dishes, the hormone was outstanding, tender and delicious, making me crave a beer. The chef was also a fun person, making the experience enjoyable. Being able to do takeout was convenient as well.

I always go for the hormone set meal. The garlic gives me energy. It comes with miso soup and rice, with a generous portion of rice. But I always make sure to also order a bowl of ramen. This time, I got carried away and tried the mysterious pork cutlet. It's a must-visit place whenever I go back to Kumamoto.
