I searched for a hotel and restaurants on Google Maps and stumbled upon this place. It seemed like a cozy local restaurant loved by regulars. The standout feature was the delicious food. I was surprised by the Kumamoto specialties of horse sashimi and horse liver sashimi. It was not the kind of food you would expect from a typical izakaya, but rather the taste of a high-end restaurant. I also ordered yakitori, which had a modest selection, but was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The waiter, who seemed tough at first glance, was very kind and provided excellent service. I had a pleasant dining experience thanks to the hospitable husband and friendly landlady. I don't live nearby so I can't visit regularly, but I would love to come back to this wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend those who are searching for this place to give it a try. To the staff of the restaurant, thank you very much for your hospitality, even though it was my first visit. And thank you for the delicious meal.
In Aso City, there are few dining options and on Sundays it can be difficult to find anywhere open. I finally found this place open and they served delicious horse liver and skewers!
The croquettes are delicious, actually everything is delicious!
