When you are visiting AROS you can very well enjoy a coffe, lunch or dinner. We had a quick snack and a coffee. Reasonable pricing, friendly staff and nice enviroment.
The ART Café is an informal café on the fourth floor of the ARoS Museum, separate from the fancier--and much more expensive--restaurant at the top of the building. Meals are ordered at the counter, but delivered to your table. I suspect it is largely a place for lunch, coffee or snacks, but it is a wonderful, economical place for dinner on the Wednesday evenings when the museum is open until 10 PM. Then, in addition to their regular menu, a special is offered (currently pork with asparagus and potatoes, with a glass of wine or beer, for only 160 kr. It was delicious. Separately, the museum is relatively quiet on Wednesday evenings; dinner at the ART Café is a wonderful way to break up an evening enjoying the exhibits.
Tanja gave me a really good service, the nurse with Monique. They gave us free shots and a lap dance.
An excellent art museum with so much to see. The light and sound installations are interesting as you are literally ‘in’ the art. The Africa exhibit is great and very open. The Polish painter’s exhibit is great, giving more attention to lesser-known artists. The Far From Home exhibition was very well done, including of course the famous Boy. The Rainbow Panorama was great as well, like a colored observation deck but all boxed in. It is beautiful to see the city from up there and the rooftop plaza is great as well.
