May 13, 2023.Party of 3.We arrived at 6:40 and got on the wait list.7:05 received a table.It was busy no doubt. And I felt a little bit like a sardine at my table, located at the service station/ kitchen entrance. Our appetizer (the Wisconsin cheese bites) was room temperature and no longer had the oowey gooey yummy cheesy pull it should have. The Monte Cristo $11- is ample and can be shared.I ordered the Key West chicken and shrimp $14- it was delicious. Our drinks were not presented as pictured and tasted like cool aid. $6 I guess I should not expect much there.Take it or leave it. I probably won't go back.
The service was more of we were disturbing them, the ambiance was by far the worst I have seen in a good while. There was trash and food on the ground from the 'lunch rush ' at 4pm. I ended up leaving.
I dined at the Abilene Cheddar 's on Friday evening with my family. My experience started great. The waiter, Kyle, was very friendly. I had ordered a ribeye, rare, with a loaded baked potato. When the food arrived, I cut into the steak and it was cooked to a medium, instead of rare. Kyle was very apologetic and said that the general manager was at the grill tonight, and he would get it recooked with a new potato. My son 's grilled cheese was also burned, and sent it back to be recooked as well. TWENTY minutes later I get my recooked steak. Apparently the man that brought out the steak was one of the managers. I did not know this because he did not introduce himself, nor did he apologize for the overcooked steak, or the time it took to recook another one, he just wanted me to cut into it to see if it was ok. When the other manager brought out my son 's grilled cheese a few minutes later, he said nothing either. Kyle had asked if the manager had talked to me. I had said no, no one has introduced themselves to talk to me, please have one come over. Mario finally came over and I had a chat with him, let him know how disrespectful it was not to introduce themselves or try to make the situation right. I have worked in the food industry and know that ignoring the customers problems is the worst thing you can do. I was not expecting the meal to be completely compensated or anything, but something should have been offered as soon as the recooked meal was brought out. The manager 's attitude and lack of respect for a paying customer was the worst part of this experience. He did eventually comp the table 10%, but made paying nearly impossible with the kiosk, took almost 20 mins and the very gracious Kyle 4 times in going back to the manager to fix it. Furthermore, the recooked steak was WAY over peppered and the potato was smaller than the first one brought out. TLDR: The waiter was great, but the managers need a huge lesson in customer service and need to learn how to cook steak properly.
The waiter service was horrible after making our order. We waited an hour. before one of us got there and another 33 minutes for the rest of us to get her food. By that time everybody’s food was cold. I heard many reviews of how amazing this restaurant was on their service and their food for Abilene Texas. I have to say this location is horrible and way too noisy in loud
