Texas Cowboy Bbq - Abilene

I was looking forward to trying this wonderful BBQ for the first time, but I was disappointed. The meat was excessively greasy and the flavor didn't match what I usually expect. It contained far more fat than normal. I felt like I paid for half a pound of fat instead. This meal was not up to their usual standards.

I really wish I had taken a picture of my plate before I dug in because it was just that delicious. At first glance, I didn't have high expectations for the brisket, but I was completely mistaken. It was so flavorful that I didn't even need any BBQ sauce—which is saying a lot! I'm not an expert on BBQ, so I'm sure there are some self-proclaimed BBQ aficionados who might disagree. Their turkey was equally impressive! Overall, this is a fantastic place with amazing food! My entire family also loved it. If you’re in Abilene, whether you're visiting or living here, this restaurant is a must-try!

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The exterior offers a hidden gem vibe, making it one of Abilene's best-kept secrets. Once you discover this place, it will definitely stick in your memory. The menu features nothing but exceptional dishes. From the mac and cheese to the brisket, everything is delicious. And the sweet tea? It’ll remind you of the sweet tea your mom used to make when you were a kid. I ordered the brisket baked potato, and I can confidently say it’s the best BBQ baked potato I've ever had. My aunt and I drove all the way from Dallas just to have lunch here, and we will definitely return—there’s absolutely no downside to visiting. Just be prepared to leave with a doggie bag, as you'll want to savor the leftovers later!

I am very difficult to impress especially when it comes to BBQ. This was absolutely wonderful! They were fast, extremely friendly, and the brisket is out of this world!! I will definitely be returning!
