Augnablik - Adelaide

I love the mix of fresh vegetables, herbs, and spicy sauces in the breakfast tacos and daily specials. The food makes me feel great and puts me in a good mood.

Augnablik is a café that I absolutely adore. It's a café full of delicious food and jazz music. In a world dominated by mass-produced and bland offerings, Augnablik stands out as a unique and special place. I have a weakness for Masala Chai, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they make theirs from scratch with a variety of spices, resulting in a truly flavorful experience. The fried eggs I had for breakfast were served on dosa with fried mushrooms, avocado, and fresh coriander, making for an innovative and healthy meal. I recently tried their homemade lemon and pistachio cake with rose icing, and it was equally delightful. The owners, Dane, Sigurros, and Colin, are warm, welcoming, and friendly. It's unfortunate that this café has a limited lifespan and that the owners will be moving on soon, but I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

The food at this restaurant is amazing and unique. The juice is tasty, but the portion size is a bit small considering the price. The coffee is also on the small side and not as flavorful as expected. Overall, I would return for dinner, but that's about it.

Augnablik is the sort of cafe I adore. Ie a cafe with whole food that plays jazz. They are hard to come by in this world of mass production and bland but safe offerings everywhere, but you won't find this to be the case at Augnablik. I am a sucker for masala chai but I never expect to get one made from anything other than a tea bag. Well surprise, surprise! Here they make the chai from scratch using a plethora of spices and it certainly shows in the taste! The poached eggs I had for breakfast were served on dosa and included fried mushrooms, avocado and fresh coriander. How's that for an innovative and healthy breakfast? Today I returned and tried their lemon and pistachio home made cake with rose icing. It was delicious too. The owners are a delight as well. Dane, Sigurros and Colin are so unassuming and open. What a shame that this cafe has a limited lifespan and that the owners will be off to greener pastures soon. I certainly wish them well.

Food is fantastic and original. Juice is tasty although small for the price. Coffees are tiny for the price compared to great coffee just up the road and all 3 different hot drinks we ordered were watery and tasteless. Would go back for food but that's all.
