Cos - Adelaide

Steaks are highly recommended! Classic restaurant with professional services. Manager was so friendly and organised. Will be back next time.

I've just had lunch at Cos and it was so perfect I needed to share.This is what exactly what you want from a place. It's beautifully set up with lots of space between tables. It's in a lovely old building with big windows, tall ceilings and natural light. The wine list is mind blowing. Enough music in the background to create ambiance but not anywhere near too loud.I had the fig and walnut salad. The candied walnuts were delicious, and they kindly added perfectly cooked beef to my order. My boyfriend had the lamb rump - beautifully presented and again ridiculously delicious.I didn't want to leave.If I lived in Adelaide this would be my restaurant.

Don't drive down Leigh Street - the 'No Through' should be changed to vehicles no entry - and the street atmosphere is as delightful as Cos, situated in a quaint old building, with dim lighting and an amazing Gin list. They have the best in the world to choose from...no a great range of beers - but as Victorian's, we felt under represented. Plates were substantial, choice from fish, steak, lamb, roo, goat etc. fabulously well cooked. Staff were fantastic too! Only criticism is acoustics - bit noisy when crowded.

Had dinner with the wife and family last Monday. Majority of the reviews were good, but not the night we were there.The food was average and the service was bad. Staff seemed did not seem to be in a good mood to work that night even though it was not that busy (a lot of empty tables). Given the good reviews they have when it comes to their service, we were really disappointed with what we experienced. Had to repeat and say the order out loud because the staff did not even bother to come near to take each and everyone's order. Had asked for a tea spoon a couple of times before finally deciding to walk up to the bar and get one because the staff seemed to have forgotten it. Orders were mixed up and it was difficult to ask for anything (like water and the dessert menu). Hoping that it was a one-off kind of night. We did not get our money's worth.

Had lovely food dip plater and Kangaroo exelent McLaren Vale wine as per usual a little on the cool side but great atmosphere!
