Ambience: a bit noisy inside with blues bank, but outside was nice in courtyard Service: works fine. No problems here.
Great little pub in the city. Friendly staff, great food and they always seem to have some form of entertainment or special on. Thursday night has always been a favourite of ours as it is wing night. It began as buffalo wings but they have expanded to different flavours to suit anyone. I still can't go past the buffalo wings. Succulent chicken wings with a spicy sauce. All you have to do is sniff it to know it's potent! But something about it keeps you coming back for more. Coupled with an IPA or Hills cider is the perfect Thursday night out with some jazz music. My only criticism is the music can be a little loud and it can be hard to chat. The food in general is tasty and affordable. I have never had a bad meal here and I have been coming here for many years. We fondly call it 'old faithful' because it never lets us down we always have a good night here.
Had to call to cancel a booking because of the storm that hit and was completely put off by how RUDE the person who answered the phone was who said it wasn't a "good excuse" to cancel and asked if we weren't used to some water. Won't be booking again.
Very nice wings on Thursday nights (special). Was very satisfied, but we wish we hadn't ordered the "suicide" wings cause that stuff is crazy hot!
Great beer garden - perfect for a small group or to laze around in as its away from the main bar. Great wine list and friendly staff. Will be back to try the food.
