Seven of us went to the restaurant for lunch, arriving just after 12:30. The first course and wines were served shortly after 13:15. The wait staff informed us that they would take our main course orders soon, but it took them an additional 30 minutes due to being overwhelmed. Our main courses finally arrived just after 14:20, and unfortunately, the fish was dry and overcooked - the worst I've ever had in Adelaide.
Purchased a on line dining voucher for 2 to the value of $29.00 with wine ! Rang to book for Sunday dinner but printed vouched was incorrect with trading days . so owner invited us for lunch anyway (had a pre booked function that night ) When turned up at 11:30 am as requested, we were surprised to find that they had opened especially just for my wife and I ! We sat down to a wonderfully fresh food ( 1/2 kg of buffalo fried chicken wings w/chilli sauce, both of us having a large chicken Cesar salad with a good bottle of sparkling white , all this for $29.00 that far exceeded our expectations . Yes , this was a promo but the young couple (chef & front of house ) have just open their first venue & inspecting the menu offer extremely good value ,fresh food ,sourced across the road at the central market with friendly & welcoming service . We wish them all the best in their new endeavor & believe they will & deserve to succeed .
The chef at this restaurant is really talented! The front staff appear to be inexperienced. The garlic prawns were fantastic, the garden fresh pasta was delicious, and the beef pie was awesome (and beautifully presented). The apple crumble was disappointing as it lacked the crumble topping and instead had a layer of oat flakes on top. The coffee was strong and tasty, but it took a long time to arrive and ended up being cold by the time the apple crumble was served. Additionally, the replacement coffee was brought long after the crumble was finished. Despite there being few patrons and plenty of staff, the food took a long time to be served. My son's beef pie, which was ordered half an hour before our mains, did not arrive until after we had finished eating. The staff were friendly and made an effort, but seemed to lack experience. Hopefully, they will improve over time as the restaurant has great potential.
