Your host, Geeta, has a long history of Indian restaurants in Adelaide, and now, her lunch cafe brings the restaurant quality and flavour of Indian street food as well the standard menu fare to Pirie Street for the lucky lunch crowd. Our visit was 'eat in' at the few tables available inside. We ordered the tasty vegetarian and non vegetarian Thali which was great value for money, as well as tender, full of flavour Panak Chicken. The serve was generous, and, as it was so delicious we ate it all! You won't be disappointed.
Often duck in here for lunch. Always a good selection of tasty Indian food reasonably priced. The only let down after todays visit ( I hadnt been for a few months) the vegetable pakoras have shrunk to a fifth of the size they were!!
We thought we would try something different for lunch and visited Little India; being just on the corner of Pirie Street and King William Street it is well placed in the city.Really quick service, basically you take your pick from whatever is available in front of you.We were eating in - there are a few tables outside on the pavement, we opted for inside as there were a couple of free seats available when we visited. The food was ok, I would hesitate to say bland, but if you're not keen on spicy then this is for you; not unpleasant by any means, but I would have preferred something with a bit more flavour. My friend had a nan, which again was quite nice, but a little greasy.Be aware that this is only a small place, so if you want to sit down you may not be as lucky as we were. If you do, and sit outside, you do have the chance to watch the world go by on the corner of Pirie Street.Great for a quickly provided and reasonable lunchtime filler. Price was about average, no surprises there. At the end of the day, it is a takeway, but worth your time to visit if Indian food, or just people watching is your thing.
