Nishiki Cafe & Izakaya - Adelaide

Took the family there for dinner after reading a positive review. The menu is a little limited and is mostly sushi or skewered and grilled meats or vegetables. The food is simple but good and reflective of what you might find in a little bar in Japan off the tourist strip. Overall enjoyed ourselves and would go again but more for drinks than a meal.

I met my wife for a quick lunch break as it's close to work. the staff are very friendly and accommodating to our needs. we were given a fee suggestions and decided to try them all! the food was amazing. octopus balls, miso eggplant, pork dumplings, fried tofu, the sashimi was to die foe all super fresh and piping hot when delivered to our table by our smiling waiter. the prices are very reasonable and the menu has a great variety. a fantastic place to eat in the cbd with a great selection of fresh and healthy food.

I have been a few times for lunch, I often meet my partner here for a simple Karaage or whatever the special is, and its great. A great selection of Japanese Beer and Sake, good food, great atmosphere. Yass the owner is very hospitable and the other staff are lovely.

I am so happy to have very Japanese style eatery near my place.Izakaya is kind of Japanese casual pub.On the way home after work just come by for 1-2 glasses of beer. Or just simple dinner night snack etc.... This is very Japanese style place.However, a bit pricy and take long time to have food even not that peak time.

Was just lovely, quaint and the best welcoming vibe.We had a table by the doors and had a feast of a little bit of everything, all at acceptable prices.The next day we took a friend there (yes that's two nights in a row) it was just as yummy and welcoming as the first.On the third night (I'm considering shares) i was just impressed, being able to sit at the bar and watch everything being prepared was an experience in itself.The service feels generally welcoming and everyone so accommodating.
