I had a really tasty potato & leek piroshki here when visiting the Central Market. I was going to get a beef & onion one but the lady who ordered before me said she was addicted to the potato & leek one, so I had to try that.
If you cannot tell your Piroshki from your Pierogi then you should try this place! These are two of the main dishes here and they both originate in Eastern Europe, with influences from further East. So it is an interesting change from the usual Asian choices in the Central Market area, at the same kind of price. My favourite is the boiled Piroghi with sour cream, and we also had Piroghi in a clear soup, and with Borsch. All well made and excellent. Seating is on tables in the market aisle on the quieter Eastern side, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the market while you eat.
I needed a snack to get me through a market shop and saw a "piroshki pie". The name intrigued me so I tried one filled with beef and onion. This was delicious. Soft dough around the outside and a beautiful filling.
Hi guys is this place still open? was stopped shortly before christmas and the joint until the further announcement closed someone can let me know what happens?
