It does however provide a really nice cosy, relaxed environment which is absolutely what we were looking for in our lunch break. We ordered the pumpkin soup, bangers and mash and the burger. Soup was quite average and disappointing for me was the accompanying bread being burnt. Burger was fantastic. Chips were slightly underdone but made up for it by being hand cut. Now, the bangers and mash. Honestly it's not a dish I usually order because I don't understand it as a dish to eat in a restaurant. Boy was I glad my partner talked me around!! It was easily the best the dish of the lot. The sausages were amazing, not fatty or oily but good quality. The mash itself was also fantastic. Definitely one of the better mashes I've had. Service was good, nothing fantastic. Food did come out in a reasonably good amount of time so fitting this place in an hour lunch break is doable. Overall I enjoyed eating here which is saying something because I am not big on pub food. My partner who loves pub food definitely enjoyed this place.

As soon as you walk in the door there's that comfortable traditional Irish pub feel with the dark timber skirting, high solid timber tables and stools in the dim lighting. There are secluded corners with comfortable booth like seating arrangements which are ideal for when you have a group of friends who don't want to be bothered by everyone else. The bar is easily accessible with typical alcohol selections for an Irish pub. Nothing too special or fancy on the drinks menu. The service was fast and friendly on every occasion I've been to the venue. Quite a busy place on Thursday nights and relatively quiet most other nights. The entertainment varies from live acoustic acts to local pub DJ's. The most suprising thing about the pub is that the food is well above the standard expected from a typical Irish pub and excellent sized portions at a reasonably low cost. Great pizzas. I certainly didn't leave the place disappointed. Probably not the greatest place for a family dinner or anything too romantic. I'd recommend for dinner with mates or work colleagues over a few pints.

I had lunch here on Sunday. I went for the $12 Sunday Roast. I was a bit skeptical as roasts can be a bit dry but it was lovely and a very generous portion. The chips were also very moreish. The menu had a good selection of typical pub food and the two staff members were really nice.
