I thought the succulent gave textur, but not much taste. the cake was more normal price $38. for this price it should be the best cake we've ever eaten. that wasn't it. it would have been nice with a local berry sauce for a bit balance. the potato was wonderful and smokey. the apple cake was great, we were extra generously created by ice cream we asked.) the baked was fluffy, the apple boiled...read more
We had a great night with friends. excellent service, great wine list. the food was excellent. my only suggestion is that they order the nduja and the cheese as a derée with some of the amazing dampers instead of a page as described on the menu.
Very interesting eating in a casual bistro atmosphere. attentive staff and very well known for their wars. definitiw a Adelaide highlight for two melbournians.

Restaurant Blackwood has been on our to do list for ages. Run by the same people who own Orana upstairs we were hoping the food was going to be good...and we were definitely not disappointed. The wait staff knew everything on the menu very well and were extremely friendly and accommodating to all kinds of customers who happened to dine on the same night as us. Each dish was well worth the purchase. For a meal out in the city without fine dining but amazing food I would certainly give this place a go. We had kanagroo crackers with a rich spicy sauce, scallops and sea plants, king prawns, two different types of salads (beetroot, pumpkin and goats curd with macadamia milk and spinach the...read more
