Personal favourites are the lamb kebabs and the lamb buns, both very authentic. Noodle dishes are also great, dumplings are kind of plain. Ayran drink goes well with everything. Great value for money.
Gr8 food, unpleasant service. Lamb kebabs, spicy fried noodle with lamb and veggies, lamb soup, uyghur style lamb dumps soup and the sweet yoghurt drink are all bomb. Can get real biz during din din. Tip: don't waste the homemade chilli.
The food here is just YUCKS! You can find so much better Uyghur in Adelaide. So no, this is not 'the best' in Adelaide. Far from it. The horrible thing about this place aside from the rude and appaling customer service (constantly rude and aggressive lady boss) and the ugly and depressing dining room, is the fact that the kitchen is filthy and disgusting. Their toilet floor is wet and so is their kitchen. It's just gross. The health inspectors really need to have a look at this place. Can't imagine how the food is actually handled in there. YUCKS. Stay away!
SKIP THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU'RE HUNGRY. THIS RESTAURANT DOESN'T OPERATE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Went there on a Friday night (big mistake) and they had a table of 12 coming so they were quite stressed. Understandable. Full house too. They actually tried to chase away a table of 3 when new customers came in but the 3 stood their ground and said they have not finished. I could clearly see there was still food on their plates. This was my first visit. So I sat there waiting for the menu when the big fat lady asked what we wanted. We said the menu. And she grumpily pointed, "isn't that the menu", and handed us one. She then said, "over here it is self-service". WELL EXCUUUUUSEEEEEEE ME for not knowing on my first visit!!!! The waitress who took our order was friendly but she got nagged at by the big fat lady for spending too much time taking the orders at the table for 12. I heard the big lady tell the waitress to get the orders from all tables so that she can start cooking dishes which are similar for every table. So what they do is, they gather the orders, find the dishes with the most orders and cook them. We ordered items 12 and 14 from the menu. We waited an hour. A couple who came after we've waited an hour got their food before we got ours. Because they ordered what most people ordered - item 10 from the menu and the kebabs. They were so embarassed that they got to eat first that they apologized. This restaurant doesn't operate on a first come first serve basis. This review is not about the food quality, because we never got to taste the food. We left, hungry and angry, and headed to Ding Hao - got served within 10 minutes.
