After a few visit with my colleagues I can still not decide my feelings in direction wein underground. the times I was here for lunch.
Went before a man came here, when friend gave a voucher as a gift. so the review can only apply to the "online offers" for which vouchers are paid. service was.
The Wine Underground, now known as Pirie Co. Social Club, has the highest prices for the worst service possible. We ended up leaving and going across the street to another establishment where the service was much better. If you don't mind paying a premium for poor service, then this is the place for you.
Based on my friend's recommendation, we decided to visit The Cellar for a casual lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The atmosphere was inviting, with large windows letting in plenty of fresh air. The staff greeted us warmly as we entered, and though we hadn't made a reservation, we were quickly seated in the back of the restaurant. The waiter promptly offered us the menu and wine list, and when we declined alcohol (as my friend was pregnant), we were given refreshing soft drinks with ice. The extensive wine list impressed me, with a wide selection of reds, whites, and sparkling wines available by the glass. The menu was simple yet diverse, featuring appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and larger meals like rib eye steak and pasta, all served with chips and salad. The waiter gave us ample time to decide on our order, showing a level of attentiveness that was appreciated. I opted for the Salt Pepper Calamari, which was perfectly cooked and paired well with crispy chips. My friend ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich Mexican style, which was generously filled with chicken, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, and salad, served with golden crispy fries. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Located in the heart of the city, The Cellar is a great spot for business lunches or for wine enthusiasts looking for a place to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, it's a fantastic place to have a laid-back lunch and indulge in a glass or two of wine.
