A little discovery in a back street on a dull dismal day in Agen. What a little treasure. The cakes I sampled were to die for, literally because I was tempted to TWO. Freshly baked Kinder cookie, which if only I had simply stuck with that, AND an extremely rich portion of Melt in the Middle Chocolate cake. Unfortunately, to add to my pain, BOTH were served with a large swirl of vanilla creme. To add to my embarressment at having two different little plates with desserts, the young lady who brought them out to me, asked me if I was waiting for a companion!!! Lovely pot of really good tea, but the melt in the middle was so rich, I had to leave a little bit.Not cheap, but you are not going to do this sort of tea and cake every day.....are you?Lovely, would absolutely recommend but suggest not be as greedy as me. Lovely staff too, very friendly and smiley. Busy inside and I assume therefore it is very popular with local ladies in the main. Pleasant little street with a good selections of what appear to be other populars restaurants on a Sunday as this was.
On our first visit we were happy with the food and service. The restaurant has a buzz and offers a good value menu of the day as well as more advanced dishes. On the second visit, the menu of the day produced very average food although the service was still excellent. Worth another try, but I hope the food will be better.
A nice warm setting with original dishes, delicious deserts and friendly service. A must for a good lunch or dinner in the city.
