I had duck with goji berries and amazing sauce. great.
Even the simplest menu is good. unfortunately I was not able to choose from the menu, but the ducks looked great.
Recommended by family, Did not disappoint! Massive 500g steak nice and tender. The restaurant was busy and couple more member of staff would have eased the service, however everybody were working hard and left a well deserved tip. If you eat outside mind the pedestrian...step across the dehor especially after couple of glasses of wine. (Customer from nearby table almost ended up on my lap ! Will surely be back! Well done l’imprévu !
Nothing unseen...All was perfect. our starter of marinated salmon was delictable, my salad (thai type. was simply divine, and the rice with caramel milk as well as the strawberries absolutely delicious. service, not too slow or too fast. in court: fantastic such great...for value restaurant. Bravo!
Restaurant L’imprevu, Agen. Again TA rating didn’t fail us. This restaurant gave a rustic feeling at a first glance, at a corner of a nondescript street not far from the railway station. But, at a second look it was a really fine restaurant both inside...and outside. We were lucky to have a warm evening and could sit outside throughout without needing a jacket. We arrived soon after their opening time (19:30) and there were already 2-3 tables inside. Within half an hour the outside part was full. I love their colorful table cloth with colorful glasses and napkins of the outdoor seating, although the terrace chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The indoor was porch and welcoming. Toilet was unisex. Menu wasn’t so large but they have everything you shall wish for. Quite inventive and a lot of Thai touch in the menu choices. We tried their Salade thaïlandaise and steak tartare with Charolais beef. The salade was huge with three minced meat balls spicy flavored, three prawns deep fried with breadcrumbs, vinaigretted tuna and spicy salad sauce. It was 17€ and quite satisfying. My husband tried their steak tartare which came half cooked, like a hamburger. We found out that the minced meat in my dish was the same as the steak tartare meat. Both dishes were a joy to look at and tasty in the mouth. Service was very good. Waiters were there at the right time. Serving didn’t take too long. But, we noticed that the table who came after us had to wait a long time for their dishes to come. Prices are reasonable although I found the salad to be on a high end (17€ could usually get you a main dish for meat and fish) but it is just a small remark, not a complaint. All in all, we gladly recommend this restaurant to visitors of Agen if you don’t mind the lack of view.
