I and two friends spent the new year at this beautiful place. the menu was fantastic. the cabrit rôti was the best nativity I've ever eaten in corsica and the couple that leads the restaurant is super friendly and simpatic. we loved!
We visited ajaccio on a cruise in juni, and found this amazing restaurant that was eating excellent my friend had spade risotto and she said it was the best risotto she had ever tasted. I choose an salad dish that was very good, the presentation. the food was extraordinary. the personal was a man and woman team and they were so friendly and helpful, although our French were very bad, as their English we could still communicate very well. only negatiw was the price of cognac with coffee, although it was delicious it was very expensive. the wee was at a reasonable price. I would definitely visit here again, overall excellent.
A must! Our dinner was exceptional. My husband had the boef frite and I had the risotto verdure. We shared the cesar salade. The white wine we had was from Sartene. It was perfect. Our wait staff were so friendly and attentive. This truly was...my favorite meal of our 10 days inCorsica.
We had a day in Ajaccio while visiting on a cruise ship, our only mission, find somewhere good for lunch after visiting Napoleons house. Shopped extensively for a lunch venue, sat down in a couple of places, there are plenty to choose from, mostly look...vey touristy. Found A Voglia, out of the way, towards the fort. Outdoor area is cool and cute ,shaded by an old mulberry tree. Inside is dark and moody in a good way, it would be nice inside for an evening. A Voglia is all about the food. We love good food, and we are fussy, this is good food, in our experience. One of the most enjoyable meals we have had lately. We had three mains, perfect steak Tagliata De Boeuf), Salad Nicoise very special version) and a slow cooked calamari stew to die for. Not really any English spoken and menu in French but the ladies that run the place will try to help if required. It is not fast food, allow a little time, but it is fresh, individually made from the daily menu and it is really good. They also offer some very spectacular looking deserts made from ice cream that we did not have room for but wish we had, they looked amazing. If your in Ajaccio and appreciate proper food made with passion I would give it a try.
