Corsica is known for large foods; ajaccio is not an exception. this is a great place for people to observe and the customers are both local and leisure. the personal is super, very real and as long as they do not need everything “instantly” they will. have a good meal.
This bar is a great lunch place. They offer a lot of different types of food for reasonable prices as well as different kinds of drinks. The Moules are absolute amazing, and only for 12 euro's.
I couldn't recommend the mussels. The worst mussels I tasted ever. Maybe other food is better. I don't recommend.
This holiday we have now learnt that many Restaurants in Corsica shut between 2 and 6 so if your travels leave you in a position you need a late lunch your options are limited. At the point of almost giving up finding somewhere open after the train journey from Corte (no buffet car on the train) we found this place and a row of open Restaurants on the road to the beach. There were many dining options and the waitress spoke excellent English (a welcome surprise as we are finding this holiday we are having to speak French a lot!) and she reeled off the specials. We had a salad with crab, avocado and prawns which was just the job for hungry hot travellers. My partner enjoyed an Corsica beer and I had a delightful cafe Garamond. Great atmosphere and we later that day met on our sailing trip a German couple who had been on the next table who had also been in need of a late lunch and had also enjoyed s good meal, beer and service !
