La Crique - Ajaccio

We ordered local fish sold after weight that the menu said to be grilled over wood. when it arrived, our fish (john dory) was cooked! the excuse of the waiter was that john dory was always cooked! Really? even the menu was misleading and. they should correct it. we were sold grilled fish by menu and we are supplied cooked and overcooked fish! the waiter said we had to pay for it so that we had no choice but to eat it. I feel betrayed. utterly with the service too, as they were rude and contradictory. they were not willing to treat even with our complaining in anyway and said that the menu was correct because the separated longustines could come as boiled. that means that the fish can be sweet because the desserts are sweet! the Menù must be right. I never noticed a restaurant asking if her Menù will deliver what it says, but it seems that in le crique they must! ridiculous. best not to come to this place at all! the lower line is when selling grilled fishing to the customers on the menu, then a restaurant must be prepared to deliver it.

Not too sure what to make of this place? The views and surroundings were promising. The menu was pretty much the same as most of the other restaurants in the area, however, based on our first impressions of the location we gave it a go....The Aubergine parmegiana was good. My other half's steak was cooked exactly to her direction and the chips were done very well. I do not expect too much in the way of attentiveness while eating in France (let's be honest the lack of hospitality is somewhat perversely appealing and refreshing) but to be totally honest our abandonment was so awfully blatantly bad it was hilarious....the copious glasses of good Corsican wine did help. On the whole a thoroughly forgettable example of Corsican cuisine and culture.

I wanted to take my dad to Corsica since he recovered from a coma. he was very ill and is still very fragile and needs special care. I saw reviews for this place and loved the views, so we decided to go on our first night. what a mistake. the waiter was so rude. I asked if the restaurant was open (as it was empty) to which I was mocked saying that yes it was, but if I asked if we could have a table for 3, he said we would have to wait up to half an hour. my dad had to beg for him that he had one while we waited for him not to stand long. he unfortunately pushed us for a table that does not offer us a menu or drink while we wait. when other guests arrived, he greeted them with a smile and brought menus and drinks, but we were ignored. I was so embarrassed and upset so we left. my poor father had to go back all steps. what a terrible experience. I'm so sad. I love Corsica and I am still glad that I brought my dad, but this service of this man let me drink.

It was a warm evening, 27 degrees around 19 o'clock and predicted 21 degrees around midnight. strabgely, the outside terrace was not prepared for dinner, so we asked if we still have a table ready for outside. the lady server rolled eyes and, provided that it would get cold later and there would be no possibility to move in the run of dinner. we insisted and chose a nice table. we had just sat a few seconds when she came back and pointed to another table that was about 5 meters away, and argued that our table would be too far away. we said we liked our table, then we have some rolling eyes. then the boss came and explained why we couldn't sit where we wanted. this is a table of 4 and if the restaurant will be full, we will solve 2 places. (Remember: the restaurant was 't on all places for eating outside. . we decided to go, who needs rude fellow workers?

Il est certain que vous serez conquis par la situation de ce restaurant ! Un site magnifique. Pensez à réserver pour avoir une table bien placée. Il donne sur une petite crique charmante et vous pouvez aussi voir au loin les îles sanguinaires. Magique, calme avec une petite brise bien appréciée ( très très agréable quand on vient d'Ajaccio !) Nous vous conseillons les poissons bien sûr - ardoise avec la pêche locale du jour -Tout est servi généreusement. Le service est simple et fort sympathique. Un endroit sans chichi que je vous conseille !
