Imperial Wok - Akron

I've been coming here for many years, and I urge you not to judge this restaurant by its exterior. While the building may not be impressive, the food quality is consistently excellent. The customer service has always been exceptional, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. I've tried many different dishes—while not all suited my personal taste, they were all perfectly prepared. I highly recommend this place; you won't be disappointed!

You can always tell a good Chinese restaurant by the quality of their egg rolls, and these were delicious. The General Tso's chicken was great as well. However, I can't quite understand why every place I've tried so far has a bit of a distinct sharpness to their dishes. None have truly stood out to me yet, but the food still offers a solid representation of typical Chinese cuisine. You'll definitely enjoy the meal, even if it might not have the exact spices you're hoping for.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and tried the shrimp foo young. It was fantastic! I ordered it to go, and they provided everything I needed, including the dipping sauce (which I had to clarify wasn't a soup—what a funny mix-up!). Overall, it was a great experience!

It's just about the best Chinese food in Akron and has the best staff. We've been here for a while, but tonight we took the cake for us. We called on an order and went out to pick it up when we realized we were forgetting our keys and locked out of our place. We called them and let them know that we were not sure that we made it for the order and offered to pay it over the phone regardless of it, and they told us that we would not care about it and call back if we were coming to get it. We called back a while later and even though they've thrown it out since it was a while, they made us fresh food at no cost and didn't sneak us over at all. So not only their food is wonderful and so affordable, but they are great people!

Only issue I've had is I can no longer enjoy other Chinese restaurants. Super friendly here and remember my name when I call which is a first. Food comes out incredibly quick and is packed so tight with food it'll stay super hot until you get home. 5/5 forsureee my favorite local Chinese spot.
