It was nice to have a gluten free restaurant that felt safe, but the portion sizes and overall quality of the food was pretty bad. The chicken wings were horrible and the food was cold.
My wife and I are both gluten free and Jilly’s did not disappoint!! The chicken and waffles with the sriracha honey were absolutely delicious! The bagels were the best gluten free bagels we have had! Truly appreciate the whole menu being accessible for both of us. Can’t wait to go back!
ENTIRELY GLUTEN FREE menu! Great place, highly recommend! Onion rings, cheese stick, flatbreads, lots of options. Weekend brunch with GF waffles done up right.
My wife and I had a chance for a rare date night. We wanted food and live music. We were going to go to Blujazz but they have a very limited menu so we chose to go to Jilly's. It was our first time. I reserved our table ahead of time $14 thinking they would be busy on a Friday night. Their website said the band played from 7-10pm. We got there around 6:45. We ordered our food and drinks, the band was doing sound check but the place was almost empty, very few people. Our appetizer sampler came out quickly. The server brought 2 plates out for us. When my wife picked up the top plate, the bottom plate was filthy, covered in food residue. When we told the server, she never offered an apology, just brought us 2 new plates. Our entrees came out about 5 minutes after our appetizer. The food was very bland and not good, especially for the price. Meanwhile, it's now 7:40 and the band still hasn't started playing. When we asked our server about it, she said they were starting at 8:30. We had to pick our daughter up by 10, so we needed to leave Jilly's by 9:15. Also, there were still very few people in the bar so why did I have to pay for a reservation? Between the poor service, bad food, the band not starting on time, the bad smell and freezing Temps in the bar, we decided to leave. I did speak with the manager on my way out. She apologized and gave us a $20 gift card which was a good attempt at making it right. They also refunded my $14 reservation fee. It was a good attempt at making it right but, unfortunately, I don't think we'll be going back. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars rather than 1 is because they did try to make it right. Very disappointing experience.
