Luigi's Restaurant - Akron

I'm not long gone, but decided to go after an Akron Rubber Ducks game, and it was worth it. First, BRING CASH! This is a NO CREDIT Italian joint. Where Luigi is really excellent in her (pizza) sauce. It's so good that next time I would ask extra sauce. The paprika pizzeria could have been a little scanned on the top, but the taste is so good that it can easily be forgiven, imo. But they give you lots of cheese... great place for a date or late night pizza craving. From food to service, 5/5.

A review of the year. Beautiful family house with classic Italian dishes. Many pastas and pizzas to choose from. The house salad was also remarkably good. Take cash, it's the old world!

Fresh authentic pizza and spaghetti. We tried the spaghetti Marinara and the tomato, cheese and sausage pizza. The pizza was wonderful, we could not stop eating until we had eaten all the pieces. The pasta can easily serve two people with a medium appetite. I want to visit again to try their salad and baked pasta. But the only reason I gave 4 stars is that they take cash and check only. Although they have an atm booth at the back, it was a bit annoying and there's ofcourse a charge if you use credit card.

We ordered a lasagna with meat and a pene with meat sauce off of the lunch menu. The portions were on the small side but they were enough for lunch. I'm happy to say that the sauce was home made and was very good but it was definitely not meat sauce. It may have once crossed paths with some meat but there was none in our foods. Cash only. I HATE that.

Luigi's is cash only. They have pretty good food and good lunch prices. We ordered 2 personal sized pepperoni pizzas, 1 large cheese pizza, and rigatoni with meat sauce. All of it was $43. It was good, except they could put more pepperoni on their pizzas. If you're in Akron, go try it out!
