Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard

Mochi ice cream is similar to other good establishments, offering a decent variety of flavors. While the ambiance isn't particularly inviting or attractive, the prices are reasonable, making it a solid option for satisfying your mochi cravings.

The restaurant is currently operating with a limit of three customers allowed inside due to COVID-19 restrictions. Staff members are wearing masks and gloves, and there is no indoor seating. They only sell sweets. I tried a small frozen custard and enjoyed it while sitting on public benches outside. They also offer a low-fat sherbet dessert option.

This is a fantastic spot to enjoy genuine gelato, frozen custard, ice cream sandwiches, cakes, sundaes, and many other delightful treats. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and I particularly love their famous mango and chocolate — one serving is never enough! The location is perfect, situated right in front of the only playground at South Shore Shopping Center, the Adventure Court. There’s plenty of free parking available. In the summer, you might encounter a long line, but it's always worth the wait for something delicious. My granddaughter never misses the chance to grab a scoop or two whenever I take her to the Adventure Court playground. The staff are friendly and welcoming. While there are a few tables and chairs available for indoor seating, it can get quite cramped when it's busy. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t hesitate to wait in line for my favorite ice cream!

The custard is great, especially the soft serve! And I like how they always have at least one sugar-free Italian ice flavor (which is always tasty ! However, this location's hours have been known to change and they close early for a dessert shop. If you want your dessert fix, best to go before dinner. :

Never had gelato made with fresh ingredients like this before! Best pistachio and hazelnut ice cream I've ever had. Loved the apricot sorbetto. Thank goodness I came with my parents so we could try quite a few flavors. Cool new spot with plenty of seating and great coffee.
