I honestly can't say that I've ever ordered a meal, but have had many of the apps with the steak flatbread as my fave. They also have a nice wine selection and Cricket their bartender is the best! Make sure to ask for the complementary bread....deliciousness!
We started with the gin and tonic and collate Martini. $9.00 each. The c chocolate martini was a nice surprise. We tried the shrimp as an appraiser for $14.00 very good with a nice sauce we ordered the 16 oz Ribeye and twice baked potatoes fur $39.00. The riibeye was cooked to perfection with a great taste. The twice baked potatoes were very flavorful with a cheese sauce on top. Total bill was $118.00 before tip. Witch is what i expected. We were very happy with the entire experince. You must ask for bread or you will not recieve it.
My go-to place when I'm in town for business. Great service and wonderful wine selection. The filet is tender and several options to compliment. My favs are the brussel sprouts and wedge salad.
Henry Campell's attempt to be a fine dining establishment falls short of expectations. The stellar yelp review and word-of-mouth praise has propelled me to believe that this establishment was Albany's finest. Alas, I am disappointed to say it is not. The restaurant boasts one of the best atmosphere in town. A chic rustic dimly lit interior with white linen table cloth. The large bar and extensive alcohol backdrop is also a nice touch. While the atmosphere was nice and all, the food is another story: Imagine ordering truffle fries and expecting thinly cut potatoes with shaved truffles (or at least a douse of truffle oil) topped with Parmesan and a nice aioli but actually getting potato wedges drowning in truffle oil. Unless you LOVE oil, it was pretty bad. We didn't finish it. The Ribeye was nice and large with alot of fat. It was lowkey dry and needed sauce. The truffle mac and cheese was as sub-par. What was a nice touch was that they offered freshly baked bread. In terms of service, I've gotten better at the Albany Fish Co. The staff at HC were not attentive despite the fact that there were only 3 tables.
Henry Cambells is a Grade A establishment! A little on the pricey side but once you dive into the food you realize your paying for some high quality food. I got the rib eye with boursin cheese and the cheesy brussel sprouts. The steak was out of this world! Cooked to a perfect medium rare with the melty boursin cheese on top! Unbelievable how good this meal was! The brussel sprouts were amazing as well!! Highly recommend this place if your looking for a fancy night out.
