When there are far better restaurants within walking distance, it makes it hard to say that I would go back. We ordered the cauliflower, the scallops, steak. The cauliflower dish was bland. Incredibly bland. The scallops were good but the lentils werent incredible. The steak was the highlight.
Amazing! The caviar was a splurge, and was perfectly paired with creme fraiche and saltines. I added some to the Deviled eggs (a 2022 bargain at $3) and it was perfect. The heirloom tomatoes were what you hope summer tomatoes to be, and the brown butter added a welcome richness. The filet was perfectly cooked, and the compound butter added a garlicky, lemony hit. The fries were a bit over done. The berry hot milk shortcake was delicious. Nicely curated menu of cocktails and affordable wines by the glass. Service top tier. If Tanya is working the bar, sit there. She is knowledgeable, professional, and fun. This was a blowout. I will return for more humble fare, which is definitely in the offing.
The cocktails were delightful, and although I was excited about the carrot dog, the stunners were the devilish eggs and the mint ice cream. I'd go back for just those!
We had a spectacular evening celebrating a family birthday at Frenchish. Delicious food and wine and spectacular service. Just a lovely evening all around. We had burgers, salmon, shishito peppers, deviled eggs, and frites, and all were wonderful. Really excited to return.
Excellent burger and fries. Great soups. Wish they made all their sauces available right off the bat though. Always an enjoyable time and I appreciate how they don't cram you in with seating m.
