Allentown Farmers Market

I started going to the farmer's market at the fairgrounds with my grandfather in the 60s. It is still a wonderful place to shop for meats, veggies, and almost anything you want. I find myself there weekly and even if I don't need to shop I love the friendly people.

This market is one of the best! I love when I visit my sister and come to the market. One of the highlights of the trip! Good food, good people.

This place is loaded with the local Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish fare. Plenty of farm fresh produce, meats, baked goods and memorabilia. Always visit when we come to visit Northeast Pennsylvania. Ritz BBQ is great as well.

We got some dog treats, and based on the reviews we also tried the Amish pretzels (absolute amazing), and the BBQ (delicious). To top it off, we found shoofly pie here. Overall a great experience and will visit again if we are in the area.

There is so much at the Farmers Market! Fresh fruit, veggies, meats and so many baked goods (oh my gosh! I came home with cookies, cupcakes, baklava a cheesecake brownie. Of course had to share with my neighbor, so I wouldn't feel guilty! Hahaha I have enough vegetables for salads until next week when I go again, and the fruit is beautiful. You'll have to go and experience this place. They also have booths with local sales from artwork to clock repair. You can even buy vacuums there! This list goes on and on. ?
