I ordered chicken street tacos since I was let down by their carnitas during my last visit. The tacos were decent, but I felt they needed a bit more meat and toppings. The double-sized corn tortillas made everything feel a bit overwhelming. The salsa was also too spicy for my taste. We visited on a Saturday night at 8:00 and were surprised by the slow service; I assume they might be short-staffed due to the ongoing effects of the COVID crisis. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant regularly, and I think I would prefer to dine elsewhere.
I've been going to la parilla in alpharetta for 19 years. we usually eat there at least once a week. Today was the last time we'll ever eat there. the service was terrible. 19 minutes to get our drinks. in the meantime there were 4 barkeepers laughing and cutting behind the bar. my drink was wrong. server never came back so I hit a manager to take our order. Eat came out. my command was wrong. I have flew down the other manager who has not spoken English. the female manager came by and started laughing with me on a mocked wise. she screams all the time. that could be most of the truth. Yes, I complained about a margarita a few months ago. Apart from that, I never say a word b/c I know that it doesn't matter to them! (my son has zöliakie and became terriblely ill after eating there. they didn't care! I told her that she commanded it and it was wrong. Of course, she wouldn't admit an injustice. my drink was wrong. my eating was wrong. I guess that was my fault. the whole crew and the staff stood in the corner and stared at us. I was embarrassed and embarrassed, as la parilla treated this situation. that was our last visit forever.
We just moved across town and were searching for a local Mexican place with great food and service and we found it!
The experience was disappointing. There are definitely better options for Mexican cuisine out there. While the location in the Forum Mall is convenient, it's not ideal for happy hour as it seems people aren't there just to eat. Although they offered outdoor seating, it would have been better if customers were not required to wear masks. Overall, it feels overly focused on profit.
I had the worst Mexican food there. It had no flavor whatsoever. I've never encountered another Mexican restaurant that includes frozen mixed vegetables in their rice. I also ordered extra guacamole for my taco salad, but it never arrived. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
