Golden Light Cafe - Amarillo

Not too far off I-40 on Route 66, the burgers are the draw here, and I can see why They prepare the burgers in view (always a good sign).

If you're hitting the Amarillo stretch of Route 66--as a local or a tourist--Golden Light is a pretty good bet for a meal.

Great juicy Azz burger here mayne ... Small place with no frills , just an awesome burger and fries .

I have found especially on my trip to amarillo hidden gems and that's it! the outside was not chic, but in my experience the little whole thing at the squares are the best. my daughter and I ordered both to share the double cheeseburger and a big frit. we thought it was small, but no. we couldn't eat anything. it tasted good, a good size, fresh and decent price. we have waited for something, but good eating is not fast and almost food is not good. we saved this place!

Excellent mushroom burger and service. when they go on looking for atmosphere they go elsewhere, but highly recommend it for eating!
