Hummer's Sports Cafe - Amarillo

I highly recommend this restaurant! It has been one of my favorites for years. You absolutely must try the steak bites, whether as an appetizer or a main course!

The ambiance is pleasant, and the food is tasty with a diverse menu that offers a variety of options.

We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, and I was impressed to see the staff still taking the time to clean the front windows, bus the table next to us, and even tidy the floor. I didn't experience any sticky floors, either on my shoes as I walked or on my forearms while resting on the table. Considering this restaurant has been around since the early 80s, I expected to see some greasy buildup, but there was none in sight. The fries were excellent, and while the beer selection was decent, I think they could benefit from adding some local craft beers to the menu. The burger itself was quite tasty—cooked and prepared perfectly, though I suspect the buns might be Mrs. Baird's wheat buns or something similar. Perhaps introducing a gourmet bun option could elevate the experience even further. While I've had better burgers elsewhere, they often come with indifferent service and leave me feeling greasy when I get home. From now on, I'll be treating myself to burgers at Hummers!

The staff has been nice and the service is quick! I went with my friend and his kids and they had very good options for food for them.
