Bar Z Winery has a large sign pointing out the entrance. They have a very long driveway. When you get to the large Quonset Hut looking building, look for the tasting room sign on the left side and proceed up the walkway to the entrance in the rear of the building. They have a very nice patio to enjoy your wine overlooking the canyon.
Cute little tasting room not far from Palo Duro. Stopped by on a cold and windy day after going on a horseback ride on the canyon. Wines were great! No vineyard, but they use Texas grapes from the high plains. Great view outside from the patio, but it wasn't patio weather that day.
We have been here twice and love it. Owners and staff are extremely kind and friendly. We brought our dogs who are a bit barky sometimes despite our best efforts and they were quite gracious about it. We liked the Pinot Grigio quite a bit. Lovey scenery looking out over landscape too.
The wine is great...a little surprise tucked into the panhandle.Don't expect any engaging owner-interaction. The owner chose to watch a movie while I was there with my guests. I think he prefers to be snarky, but thankfully the staff are helpful and kind.
