What a find great food for lunch passing through town. Salad was very fresh and tasty and my sons BBQ sandwich special with slaw and Mac and cheese tops. Hats off to the owner!
We stopped here on a whim because we were hungry and it was close to the highway. The town itself is unremarkable, seemingly lost in time, but a quick review of the menu left us pleasantly surprised. Just about everything on it sounded delicious with little twists here and there to entice you and make it impossibly difficult to choose. The execution did not disappoint either, complete with tastefully chosen silverware and nice stemware. There was a full house for lunch, but the waitstaff kept up with a smile, and the owner/chef even dropped by to say hello. Overall the experience was exceptional and our only wish is that it was closer.
A verryy satisfying post backpacking lunch. A group of us did a weekend hiking/camping trip in the Mount Pleasant area and ended up here for lunch afterward, smelling to high heaven and ravenous. I got the steak and eggs off the brunchies menu. It was a half portion of steak, 2 eggs, and potatoes for $9. I thought the steak portion was huge for $9 can we have pricing like this everywhere, please? The steak was a little overcooked for medium rare but was delicious and fatty. I also really enjoyed how the potatoes were like thick chips! Everyone else really enjoyed their meals. And we all very much enjoyed nice cold beers to celebrate our successful backpacking trip!
They should update their site with closing times. I got there just in time for them to close.
