I can't really rate the place fairly. I went there to buy a couple of boxes of tea. They needed my phone number to call me and let me know when to come pick it up. That was a week ago. Yeah. I don't chase down places anymore. They don't want to call me, I don't need to buy it. Their loss. Service: Take out Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
If you want a taste of what it’s like to sit in a teahouse in London, the Ploughcroft Tea Room is the place to go in Lynchburg. The teas are delicious as well as the luncheon items. Totally forgot to take a photo of my entrée, but definitely we got photos of our dessert! I went for the strawberries with whip cream and meringue and oh my goodness, fantastic! Service: Dine in
Cute enough and had the right feel, but did not meet expectations. Tea bags instead of loose tea and no plate or container or way to remove your steeped bags. Strangest clotted cream I 've ever had--I know it 's hard to get in the US, but if it 's offered it should be right. We didn 't eat lunch-only scones and dessert with tea. Scones (far too flat, but good flavor)and the cream were not right, but the earl grey pie offered was quite good. Prices were quite dear. Friendly server and owner.
It was so amazing. We came in when there werent any walk ins but our server Kelli accomadated us and was the sweetest ever. She made the whole expirience 10x better. The atmosphere was so pretty and calming and the food was phenomenal. Kid-friendliness: Tons of little girls in there living out their princess dreams: Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch
