Mariscos Los Chavalones Mexican

I visited AZ and was on the lookout for a Mariscos restaurant. We'll definitely return when we're in town; everything we tried was amazing!

This restaurant has great food, but the service is very slow. If you request something, it takes them 45 minutes to deliver it.

Horrible SERVICE. The worst part the owner or manager seemed to not give a damn. He was sitting there chatting to his friends. He spoke to 2 different of them for a while as well. We would make eye contact when I went up to the counter and not once did he ask if I needed anything after I waited forever for Reyna to bring me my limes. It's horrible have they have her alone serving about 8 busy tables. We went on a Wednesday around 2pm and it was packed. The food took a while to come. This expensive cost $150. We are very good tippers when we get good service. We left $10 tip because she looked like she didn't care. She could of made more. She also looked upset or bothered.. the shrimp cocktail was okay, the oysters were good! The marlin tacos were good too. My dad said his fish was over cooked and dry.. he's had better. The Jamaica wasn't good, I've had better. The chips and salsa were good. The shrimp burrito was okay just didn't like how the shrimp was chopped up like onion and it was a little too salty for my taste buds.. the Diablo salsa on the side was yummy but I was charged $1 for a small salsa size.. I'm talking about the small size.. again service horrible we had to flag her down for more tortillas (charged extra) she took so long to bring them we didn't need them.. took forever to bring the food and never asked if we needed anything else. At the end I went up and asked for a box to go that also took forever. To pay I just went up to her because I was ready to go! She then tells me they charge a 5% fee to use a credit card so about $5 extra! Beware if you decide to give this place a try just bring cash and be prepared to eat a lot of chips and salsa because they take forever!

Stop letting stupid drunk idiots go behind the restaurant after hours. People have to fucking work and these idiots are laughing and drinking so loud at 11pm-2am. So sick of it. I'll make sure to call the restaurant in the morning.

Very good food! Nice atmosphere clean restaurant. I ordered the Michelona and it was enough for 2 people. Loved it!
